The Route
This was a 176 mile drive. We headed out on I-94W, connected with I-90W at Billings and took it to Livingston.
About the Day
A brisk westerly wind greeted us in the morning. It was sunny all day. The temperature reached the low 70s. It was a short driving day so we took our time.
Along the Way
The GPS kept trying to find a shorter way. We stuck to our guns and stayed on I-94 and then I-90.
We saw evidence of small median, roadside, and hillside fires along the way. None were very current.
Smoke from the California and Oregon fires first appeared as we descended into the valley between Big Timber and Livingston.
Travel Trivia
We set the trailer up at a camp site for the 425th time today.
We stayed at Olsen's RV Park on July 28th during our 2010 Northwest trip.
The Campground
Olsen's RV Park is very nice. They have strict park rules and excellent facilities. It wasn't this nice when we stopped here 11 years ago.
Tonight
We had thunder, lightning, and rain late into the night. We're so glad this isn't a tent or a pop-up trailer.
Tomorrow
We're staying here one more day.
Yay for short travel days! Yay for sticking to your route! Yay for 425 set ups! Yay for improved campgrounds! Yay for solid and dry airstream campers!
