The Route
This was a 244 mile journey today. We headed west on I-670 to I-70W, to Indiana, to I-365S around Indianapolis, to I-74, to Crawfordsville. We ran into two I-70 detours in Indiana that added an hour to the trip.
Along the Way
There was a misting rain during hookup, heavy showers on the way from the storage lot to home, misting rain again while we loaded the last things. The weather cleared a bit by the time we got to Dayton. Blue sky peeked through briefly a few times.
Travel Trivia
I-70 in Indiana has historically been a freeway with miles of barrels and no workers. This year was different. There were no untended orange barrels.
The Campground
This is our 4th stay at Crawfordsville KOA. We were here in 2012, 2014 and 2016. It's OK, but hasn't changed a lick in the past nine years. It happens to be at the right place at the right time.
Tomorrow
We're staying at Sycamore RV Resort in Sycamore, IL.
So We Don't Forget
This is what the Heritage Point construction site looked like when we left.
Yay for Day One!!
ReplyDeleteAny reason why you didn't take I 70 then 65 through Indianapolis? We found it to work quite well. We had a late lunch yesterday in Crawforsville. Too bad we couldn't have met on the road. 😊
ReplyDeleteOh, and thanks for putting the Heritage Point photos on the blog!
