Day 7 - Medora, ND (Day 2)

The Route
Just local travel around the streets of Medora.

About the Day
It rained most of the night. We awoke to clear skies and a strong westerly wind. The wind was so strong our small awning shook the trailer. We closed the awning and things settled down. A heavy rain arrived about noon. The sun returned at 1:30.

Along the Way
We went to the Cowboy CafĂ© for breakfast and got lunch.  They stop serving breakfast at 11:00 and we got seated at 10:59. Carol had the Snappy Chicken on Pretzel Bun sandwich and found it "outstanding". Dick's Rueben sandwich had a unique flavor and was very good.
Carol gives it a "thumbs up"

A steady rain arrived as we were exploring the shopping mall on Pacific Ave.
Our view from the mall boardwalk.

We returned to our home at 1:00.
Even the trailer got wet feet.

The sun eventually returned and the wind subsided a bit.  We ventured out again at around 3:30.

The Western Edge Book Store was our first stop. We got a collection of books to learn about cowboy life, Theodore Roosevelt, and Edith Roosevelt. We even got a Louis L' Amour novel as a memento of our stop in Jamestown, his birthplace. Then we visited the North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame.

We ended the outing with dinner on the outdoor balcony of the Little Missouri Saloon.
