The Route
Today’s route was simple. Get
on I-94, drive west 228 miles, get off at Montana Exit 49.
About the Day
The day was sunny, windy, and
cool. The temperature only made it to the low 70s after hitting the 90s yesterday.
Strong crosswind gusts and the
suction of passing semis made for an interesting drive.
Along the Way
The scenery changed dramatically along the way. This was a drive through wide-open spaces. There were many exits with no services.

Travel Trivia
The GPS estimated 226 miles
to the campground. Odometer readings say we drove 228 miles. Only we knew
we drove 1 mile off I-94 (a 2-mile round trip) in search of a restaurant that
didn’t exist.
The Campground
The Fort at 49 RV Park
is on a remote stretch of I-94. It has 8 full-service sites in an open field. The utilities are excellent. The owners are friendly and helpful.

The restaurant is a popular gathering place. It was busy tonight. Our meals were unique and delicious.

That semi auction can be brutal for sure! And your RV park … you can see for miles! 😃 glad you had enough gas to get between those veeerrryyyy long distances between gas stops! Enjoy your excursions!
