The Route
In a word? Interesting ... 199 miles of interesting.
First, we travelled from Portland to Dundee (I-205W to I-5N to OR-99W) to repack and pick up the trailer. Then we took county roads to OR-240, OR-47, US-26, and US-101 north to Warrenton.
Finally, we headed south on US-101 from Warrenton, past Gearhart, Seaside, Cannon Beach, Manzanita, and Tillamook to Lincoln City.
About the Day
It was sunny and pleasant (high 60's) until we got close to the coast. Fog/mist settled on us as the sun set.
We have seen no evidence of fire.
Along the Way
Thanks to help by all, we got packed and on the way to Dundee by 9:45.
We were loaded, hitched, had said our goodbyes to Barb and Kenny, and on the way to Warrenton by 12:15. Whew!
We stopped for gas in Seaside and made it to the Bagley's Warrenton investment property by about 2:30.

- We got caught parking lot jamb in Warrenton while looking for a lunch spot.
- The campground we considered in Gearhart was pretty tacky. We passed on it.
- Place after place down US-101 we called for reservations were full.
- A state campground we called was closed until April.
- The GPS took us on an odd, curvy, hilly, 15-mile diversion from US-101.
- Mo's Seafood was closed in Cannon Beach.
- We saw highly recommended Wanda's Café in Manzanita, but couldn't stop there.
- We finally got a reservation in Lincoln City.
- And ... we ran out of propane overnight. We were grateful for our heat pump.
So, there was just lot's of stuff to deal with as we got back in the saddle and back on the road.
Travel Trivia
US-101 from Seaside to Lincoln City is beautiful, curvy, hilly, and lined with quaint coastline towns.
The Campground
We're in site 37 at Premier RV Resorts of Lincoln City. It's well managed and very nice.
Tomorrow
We continue our plan to avoid the California and Nevada fires by continuing south on US-101 to Florence and then head east to Eugene.
