Day 14 - Missoula, MT to Connell, WA

The Route
Today was a 296 mile journey from Montana, through Idaho, to Washington. I-90W took us from Missoula to Ritzville, WA where we picked up US-395 to Connell. We passed St. Regis, Wallace, and Coeur d' Alene in Idaho and Spokane in Washington.  The terrain changed dramatically as we drove.

About the Day
We started out in the low 50s and ended up in the mid-80s. It was sunny all day and there was a light breeze. We saw no evidence of recent fires.

Along the Way
We enjoyed the changing scenery and had a treat when we stopped for lunch at The Blackboard CafĂ© in Wallace, ID.

Wallace - the richest mining town still in existence.
Must have been interesting in the old days.

US-395 in Washington
Lots of farming along here.
A dust devil spins up on the right berm.
Huge fields

Travel Trivia
Wallace, ID is the world's largest silver producer.

They did it again! Our RV Trip Wizard software estimated and our odometer exactly confirmed this was a 296 mile journey.

The Campground
We're in site 39 at Coyote Run RV Park. It's quite nice, but right next to US-395. We rate it a 9 out of 10. We've stayed at two 9.5s on this trip.

Tomorrow
We stop driving at Kenny & Barb Bagley's farm home in Dundee, OR. We'll be there for a week or so visiting with Carol's daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren (Lucy and William).
