The Route
This was a 226 mile travel day. We took I-74W from Crawfordsville to IL-47N, IL-47N to I-88W, I-88W to IL-38 and Sycamore.
About the Day
The day was mostly cloudy, but pleasant. The temperature stayed in the mid-70's until early afternoon and then rose to the low 80's with humidity.

Along the Way
We planned to avoid Chicago traffic by taking I-39N out of Champaign, but missed a turn onto I-57 to get there. IL-47 was a pleasant mistake. The road was good and traffic was light almost all the way to Sycamore.

The Campground
The Sycamore RV Resort isn't a resort setting. The sites are narrow and most are gravel. It's quiet, clean and rates a 5.0 on our grading system.

We'll stay at Hixton/Alma Center KOA in Hixton, MN.
